Hello friend! I am so glad you made it here. My name is Elisabeth, but those who know me best, call me Liz. To be honest, this page intimidated me the most when building my site, because "about me" seems so broad! But I'll stick with what you probably want to know most, seeing as I am a Wellness Coach and Fitness Instructor (FI), and that is most likely why you are here.
Truthfully, I didn't always know I wanted to be a Wellness Coach, or even know what one was. Same with being a Fitness Instructor. One day, I was simply asked, "What do you love to do?" and my answer was "Work-out and help people"! Bam... within the month I was applying for a job at my gym and soon became its FI. Pretty neat huh? Fast forward almost 2 years and I had worked with countless people and types of clients. I helped those recovering from surgery or a break-up. I met those who had the goal of doing a push-up to those who wanted to lose a significant amount of weight. I loved helping every single one. I was their coach, cheerleader, educator and support. I loved it. Then, due to some life circumstances, I decided to quit training at the gym... and with that came some reflection. What if there is more to our health than simply working-out? I knew, and know, how important physical exercise is, but I wondered if there was something more I could do for others, in regard to their physical, mental and emotional health. After doing some research, I found that there was this "role" I could fill, and that caused me to began my training to become a Certified Health and Wellness Coach!
So, here I am now. A certified Fitness Instructor, Wellness Coach and Behaviour Change Specialist. I have worked with coaching clients for over a year, and instructed exercise and fitness classes for nearly 3 years. I love asking the hard questions, being a safe place and offering zero judgment, all while helping you discover what your truth is in regards to your health. My passion, if you asked, would be for those just beginning their fitness journey (been there, done that), offering support to those trying to navigate health and wellness while going through a loss or transition (been there, done that too), and helping those who are looking to build their confidence as they begin (or continue) to take care of themselves, inside and out.
I know there is a certain trust and confidence that must be earned before allowing someone to guide and support you, but I pray that you will reach out if you have any questions about my services, about how I could help you, or about any of my experiences.
I don't say "Welcome to Your Safe Place" for nothing.
Light and Love, from Liz
